When we only focus on decreasing hate and indifference, our capacity to truly connect across differences is limited. As members of a community, we need to develop a deeper understanding of how to approach the concept of ‘difference’. Putting forth an effort to gain knowledge about actual cultural differences between us provides a stronger foundation on which to build strong relationships with one another.
