39th Annual Gender Studies Symposium
|
|
The Gender Studies Symposium brings together representatives from academia, activism, and the arts for three days of workshops, lectures, and other intellectual and creative explorations of local, national, and global gender issues. This year’s event, Tensions of Possibility, invites us to think about invention, speculation, and possibility through theoretical lenses that focus on gender and sexuality. Lewis & Clark’s Street Addresses Will Change Beginning May 1
|
|
In an effort to improve 911 dispatcher emergency response time, the Portland City Council will divide Southwest Portland in two on May 1, 2020, creating a sixth sextant called South Portland. Area street addresses will change as a result, including L&C’s. Learn more.

Special Collections Acquires Italian Illuminated Manuscript
|
|
Watzek Library’s Special Collections and Archives has recently added another rare book to its growing collection of archival materials. Through a B.H. Breslauer Foundation grant, the college is now home to an Italian book of hours worth just over $45,000—the only Italian illuminated manuscript in the greater Portland area.

International Fair This Weekend!

The 55th annual International Fair is this Saturday, March 7. Learn about the many cultures and nationalities that are represented at Lewis & Clark, and enjoy an array of mouth-watering dishes and fun-filled performances from across the world.
