College Launches Alumni and Parent Travel Program

We are pleased to announce that we are officially kicking off our Pioneer Travel Program with a trip to Cuba in May 2017! We hope you will take time to explore this new program and learn about the opportunities that await you as we seek to encourage lifelong learning and greater connections among the Lewis & Clark community.

Statement of Student Support

In a recent letter to our community, President Barry Glassner and Dean of Diversity and Inclusion Janet Steverson reinforced the college’s commitment to supporting and protecting all members of our community. The letter states, “We are dedicated to continuing to work with undocumented and religious members of our community in the coming weeks, months, and years to ensure their safety and security.”

Young Alum Finds Her Place on the Portland Stage

Theatre major Alex Leigh Ramirez BA ’10 recently performed in Portland Center Stage’s original production, The Oregon Trail. She played “Then Jane,” a character whose historical struggles in the 1840s counter the modern struggles of “Now Jane,” an apathetic teenager playing “The Oregon Trail” video game on her overachieving sister’s couch in the 1980s. Read more about Alex’s theatrical journey.

Who Lives in the Gatehouse?

What was once the original residence of the college’s first president, Morgan Odell, now houses the Office of Alumni and Parent Programs. Refurbished and dedicated in 2009 as the “Morgan S. Odell Alumni Gatehouse”, the building and its occupants strive to reinforce his vision of L&C as “a citadel of light and learning.” Meet the Alumni and Parent Programs team.
