Lewis & Clark earned the #1 spot in The Princeton Review’s ranking of the 353 most environmentally responsible colleges and universities. “I’m incredibly proud of my Lewis & Clark colleagues across our three schools for the creativity, ingenuity, and thoughtfulness they bring to our sustainability efforts every day,” said Janice Weis, associate dean of Lewis & Clark Law School, chair of the Lewis & Clark Sustainability Council, and director of the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Program. Lewis & Clark faculty have long been known for their innovative approaches to instruction and commitment to working closely with students. The National Science Foundation announced that five Lewis & Clark alumni were awarded Graduate Research Fellowships based on their demonstrated potential for significant achievements in science and engineering. Student Engagement Scholarship Winners Announced

President Barry Glassner has announced the winners of the President’s Scholarship for Student Engagement. Launched in 2012, the scholarships provide $5,000 each to students with sophomore standing for use in their junior year. It is renewable for their senior year based on continued excellence. Rebecca Lingafelter, assistant professor of theatre, has been named the 2015 Teacher of the Year for the College of Arts and Sciences. Lingafelter has been teaching voice, movement, acting, contemporary performance, and directing at Lewis & Clark since 2012. Watch her acceptance speech.
