This Earth Day, April 22, learn why Lewis & Clark is at the forefront of pioneering nationwide sustainability efforts. Join a celebration including special guests Oregon Governor Kate Brown J.D. ’85 and Portland Mayor Charlie Hales, with a video tribute by Congressman Earl Blumenauer B.A. ’70, J.D. ’76. Deadline to Apply for Summer Internship Grants

Internships offer students the chance to learn and discover their areas of interest while gaining practical experience in the real working world. They can also help students decide if a particular field is the right fit. The Career Development Center offers a range of grants to support students pursuing summer internships. The deadline to apply is April 10, so explore the opportunities available.

Student Receives Prestigious Graduate Scholarship

Alexander Kraemer ’15, a History major and English minor, was recently awarded a Davies-Jackson Scholarship to study at St. John’s College at the University of Cambridge. The Davies-Jackson Scholarship is awarded annually to students with exceptional academic records who are also the first in their families to graduate college. Read more about Alexander.

Students supporting students. That’s what Lewis & Clark’s Student Academic Affairs Board (SAAB) is all about. Consisting of one student representative from every academic department, SAAB supports student academic initiatives. Since 1982, SAAB has awarded more than $1 million to help fund over 1,000 student proposals. Learn more in this video.
