Hello from the Bookstore! We hope you all are enjoying your winter break! 

If you haven’t started thinking about it yet, now is the time to place your textbook orders. Book orders are filled on a first come, first served basis; those used (*less expensive*) books go FAST! We need you to ORDER YOUR BOOKS ONLINE AGAIN.

While we are finally seeing a light at the end of this Covid tunnel, we are not quite there yet and still need to maintain social distancing. You must adhere to the Campus Re-entry Checklist that has been provided by the campus.

Pick-up times will again be based on your move-in date and time here on campus:

  • January 13th pick-up- RA’s & Students who remained on campus through Winter Break  
  • January 15th pick-up- New Students 
  • January 16th & 17th pick-up- Returning Students living on campus

  • If you are living in the Portland area, but not on campus, you should choose to have your books shipped to you.
  • Remote learning students should have their books shipped as well.
  • International Students – please email us with any questions.

FAQ’s 

  • Where to order?
    • Here: Textbooks or through your student WebAdvisor page.
  • Should I RENT or BUY my books?
    • If you tend to be a little harder on your books, you should buy them. We do anticipate some wear and tear on rentals, but if your books get wet, torn, food on them or otherwise un-useable, you will have to pay for them.
    • If you generally take care of your stuff, you can rent. You may write in your books and highlight in them; we just ask you to be reasonable.
  • Can I bring my books home if I need to finish the semester online?
    • Yes! We will send an email to the email address associated with your order to remind you to return your rental books. There will be a link to create a UPS label. The due date for rental books will be the last day of finals, and while we do accommodate for shipping times, the package needs to be in the mail to us by May 7th. Do NOT leave them in your dorm or you will accumulate all kinds of late fees.
    • Tip: your lclark email address might filter emails from the bookstore to your promotions file. Keep an eye out for emails from us – especially at the end of the semester (or anytime, if you want to know what is on sale!).
  • Can I sell back books at the end of the semester if I chose to buy them?
    • Yes! Your books are worth more if faculty are using them for the upcoming semester, but we can always check wholesale prices as well.
