We hope that your semester has gone well and these last couple of weeks of classes are going smoothly!

 

It is time to start thinking about returning your rentals and/or selling books that you purchased but no longer want. There is a lot of information below, but it is important to make sure you return your rentals correctly.

 

If you live on campus or in the Portland area, you can return or sell your books in person.

 

Current Hours:

Monday – Friday: 10am - 4pm

Closed Weekends

 

Finals week, starting May 3rd:

Monday & Tuesday: 10a-4p

Wednesday & Thursday: 10a-5p

Friday: 9a-4p

Saturday: 9a-1p

 

Multnomah County is back to a high risk category, so we must adhere to capacity guidelines. Please keep this in mind and allow for enough time to make your returns. We might experience longer than usual waiting times due to the slower nature of check-in and buyback.

 

If you prefer contactless returns, use the drop off table in front of the bookstore (or mail them in using the UPS label from our website). If you drop them off, be sure to READ and completely fill out the return form on the table when you leave your books. To avoid loss or theft, please drop them during business hours. Please know that you are still responsible for your books until they are checked in. If you leave them unsecured, outside of business hours, and they are stolen, you will have to buy out the rental agreement.

 

If you have been or might have been exposed to COVID-19, do not come to campus! CONTACT US TO DISCUSS YOUR BEST OPTIONS. That doesn't mean you're off the hook; you still have to return your books.

 

If you live outside of the Portland area or are in quarantine:

You should send your books back using the UPS label provided in the rental reminder emails.

Reminder emails have been sent or will be sent on 4/15/2021, 5/1/2021, 5/5/2021, 5/7/2021, 5/12/2021 and 5/14/2021. If you don't see an email from us, check your promotions or spam folders on these dates. These emails will also tell you what books you have rented, and which of those you haven’t checked in yet.

You should have your books in the mail no later than 5/7 to allow for shipping time.

Please try to be proactive with your textbook returns. We want to help you out, but also field hundreds of emails, so try to do a little research before you ask what your order number is. But DO reach out if you need help. It is MUCH better to communicate potential issues up front.

 

If your book has somehow become damaged over the course of the semester, or if you have lost it, CONTACT US. You will pay less in replacement fees if you are proactive.

 

Want to sell books? You can do this in person, or on our website. MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT SELLING BOOKS YOU RENTED. If you do, you will have to pay the rental buy-out fees.
