Assistant Professor Diana Leonard, along with Malavika Arun BA ’19, has been studying the impact of group apologies. Arun presented their ongoing research in April at the annual Festival of Scholars and Artists in a session titled “Apologies.” “Understanding what makes apologies effective can help solve intergroup conflict with reconciliation, especially with international conflicts,” she says.
