Neuroscientist Tamily Weissman-Unni Recognized With Scientific Research Award

Associate Professor of Biology and Program Cochair of Neuroscience Tamily Weissman-Unni has earned the Murdock Charitable Trust’s 2017 Lynwood W. Swanson Promise for Scientific Research Award. The recognition comes with a $7,500 grant to further support Tamily’s research with undergraduate students.

Danial Afzal BA ’12, who studied theories behind the way media influences our lives, is now shaping lives himself with his award-winning short film, The Survivor. The documentary tells the story of a young student who escapes the 2014 attack on the Army Public School in Pakistan and the grief that follows. Read more about Danial’s film.
