Portland Alumni of Color Meet, Mentor Students

Through a series of social events, Portland-area alumni of color are serving as mentors to current students. “L&C alumni of color volunteers get genuine affection, curiosity, gratitude from the students….they effortlessly inspire you to just give away your talent and time and help them succeed. Grant Provides New Tool for Science Students

With a grant from the National Science Foundation, L&C has acquired a powerful microscope that will enable joint biology, chemistry, and physics projects. “Science faculty are already designing specific new components for teaching labs that will use the new microscope,” said Assistant Professor of Biology Tamily Weissman-Unni. New York alumni can see Weissman-Unni and President Barry Glassner at the Alexandria Center on November 14.
