Dear students, faculty, and staff:

We have had a strong response to our announcement below about our on-campus COVID-19 booster dose clinics for eligible individuals. Nearly 500 community members have signed up!

We still have spots left in the clinic, and I know that we have eligible students, faculty and staff (not yet boosted) who have not signed up. Doses can only be given to eligible individuals, and eligibility criteria are articulated in my message below.

Vaccination continues to be our strongest weapon against COVID-19, and in ensuring that we can continue to offer the kind of high-quality education and extracurricular activities that LC is known for. We have succeeded this year because so many community members have been vaccinated and followed public health guidance. Let’s not let up now. Booster doses mean reduced risk of disease for yourself and your peers, and reduced risk of having to spend 10 days in isolation.

If you are eligible for a booster dose, and there are no medical contraindications for you, I encourage you to read my e-mail below and consider signing up through the link in the email below for next week's booster dose clinics. Please sign up by end of day on Saturday, November 13, so we can finish our planning for the clinics.

If you're eligible for a booster dose, but aren’t sure about getting that dose, please consult with a healthcare professional to make your decision. If you decide you do want to get a booster dose, the timing of our clinics may work well for any holiday plans you have. Be aware that the booster dose can take approximately two weeks to be fully effective, so getting your booster well in advance of winter break or any holidays that you celebrate could be a very wise move this year.

Finally-- I still need some employee volunteers to staff the clinic. I ask faculty and staff to consider signing up.

If you have any questions, please contact us at

Best wishes,
