Dear Parents,

We recently sent your student the message below. We would like to share it with you as well.

Greetings,

Thank you to those who filled out our commencement information form!

While we are unable to accommodate custom fit caps and gowns now, eligible seniors will still receive a cap and gown at pickup in mid April. We are still able to accept photographs for the virtual commencement ceremony though, so please follow the directions below.

PHOTOGRAPH INSTRUCTIONS

You will be able to upload a high-resolution portrait of yourself for the 2021 commencement slideshow in the form link below. Please choose a JPEG format photo at least 1MB in size that you would feel proud to show friends and family at this special moment. Images that show at least head and shoulders with some space above and around you work well.

Please name the files with your LASTname_FIRSTname. Please use the same name that you list in your email as your name. Example for "Susan Smith"= Smith_Susan.jpg, etc.

SENIOR EXPERIENCE

The Senior Experience Committee want to make these final days as an undergraduate student special and filled with fun goodies. What we have lined up; stickers, T-shirts, and alumni pins, but we need your help!

Sticker/T-shirt Contest:

We all know you like to decorate your mailbox, computers, water bottles, and skateboards with stickers, so why not decorate them with a unique LC Class 2021 sticker decorated by your fellow colleagues and friends?

DEADLINE: April 1ST, 5 PM, PDT

How to participate:

1.  Read the prompt and requirements for the stickers below. Start generating some fun ideas.

  • Prompt: GROWTH! You're a senior and were once a blossoming first-year here at Lewis & Clark College. Take a step back and recount times of reflection and growth from your academic journey here that has helped make you the person you are today.

Requirements:

  • Dimensions: 2in x 2in, circular or square (with or without a border)
  • Must include some variation of “class ‘21” or “2021” or “class of 2021”

2.  Optional: You have the option of opting in your designs for this portion of the contest. Your sticker design may win first place! If so, your design will also be made into T-shirts!

3.  Fill out this google form when ready to submit. Each student can submit up to three designs.

4.  The top three designs will be made into stickers. The design with the most interest will also be made into a T-shirt!

5.  Winners in addition to having their designs all over campus, will receive a gift card, one of three options, Amazon Gift Card, Visa Gift Card, and GrubHub Gift Card,
